The Tag Groups Pro plugin is not available in the built-in plugin search of your WordPress blog. That means you have to manually upload the ZIP file that you have received. Fortunately, the process is very easy and you just need to click a few buttons.
Step-by-Step Guide #
- You need to be logged in at your WordPress site as administrator. In the menu go to Plugins and Add New.
- On top of the page, click on Upload Plugin.
- Press the button Browse… and select the zip file that you received through the purchase. Then you click Install Now.
- Activate the plugin.
- You will now find a new menu (below the Settings), named Tag Groups.
If you previously used the free Tag Groups plugin, it will be automatically deactivated. You can safely remove it, but please make sure in the Settings under the Reset tab that no data will be deleted. The default settings keep your data.
Activate the License #
You might then have to activate the license. Please check the inbox of the email that you used for the purchase.
Advanced #
Instead of uploading the ZIP file, you can also uncompress it and upload the folder to your blog’s plugins folder. Afterwards you may have to fix file and folder permissions (particularly for files that must be publicly accessible).
