TaxoPress Pro Can Automatically Create Terms for All Your WordPress Content

TaxoPress Pro has a new feature which can analyze your content and automatically create new terms. This will be very useful for anyone who add a lot of content on their WordPress site.

Let’s see an example of how this new feature works. I’ve created a new post, using the text from the “About Us” page on WordPress.org.

When I publish this post, TaxoPress scans the post and creates new terms, as you can see in the image below:

You just adjust the sensitivity of this new feature. You can choose a setting that provides a few, accurate suggestions. Or you change the setting to produce more suggestions, but they may be less accurate.

This feature can work with any taxonomy and post type. For example, in the image below, I have a WooCommerce product. TaxoPress has scanned the content and created new terms into the “Product tags” area.

In the next screenshot, you can see an example with bbPress. In this example, TaxoPress has scanned a new bbPress topic and automatically created the “Topic Tags”.

How does this new Auto Terms feature work?

This Auto Terms feature is built on top of two external services: Dandelion and Open Calais. You can use either one (or even both) to analyze your content.

You will need to get an API key to use Auto Terms: click for Dandelion instructions and click here for Open Calais.

Once you have an API key, go to “TaxoPress”, then “Auto Terms” in your WordPress admin menu. You can enter your API key here on the “Sources” tab.

If you are nervous about trusting an automated system to add terms, you also have the option of having these terms appear as suggestions. This allows you to see all the terms produced by Dandelion or Open Calais, and you can then manually choose which ones to use.
