TaxoPress 3.0.2 is Now Available
TaxoPress 3.0.2 is now available. This version has improved support for the Dandelion API. You can use this feature to suggest Tags based on your content. There are also improvements for the “Auto Terms” screen.
Categories and Tags are the two main ways to organize your WordPress content.
Both Categories and Tags are “taxonomies” and they can help you sort your content. However, on a normal WordPress site, both Categories and Tags are only available for Posts. This means that you do not have any options to organize your Pages or other post types … unless you use a plugin such as TaxoPress.

We had an interesting question from a TaxoPress user this week. They wanted to remove the “tag” part of their site’s permalinks. By default, WordPress tags will be located at URLs such as /tag/wordpress/ and /tag/tutorials/. They wanted to change those URLs to be simply /wordpress/ and /tutorials/.
